Rotary Community Markets – Stallholder Information

How often we trade
• Four markets a year (weather and council approvals permitting).
• Maximum 100 stalls per market—early booking is essential.
• All proceeds support Rotary Club of Orange community projects.

What can be sold?
We welcome locally made, grown or sourced goods that create a varied, high-quality market experience. Popular categories include:

Alcohol sales are not permitted. Stalls that promote local businesses or community groups may also be accepted. Novel, niche or eco-friendly products are especially encouraged.
Market rules & approvals

Council land: We operate under an Orange City Council User Agreement; stallholders must follow any site-specific conditions (e.g. smoking or pet restrictions).

Food vendors: Obtain a Temporary Food Stall Holders Permit from Council’s Building & Environment Section – (02) 6393 8000.

Health & safety: Current NSW Health requirements (e.g. COVID-19) apply.

Insurance: Each stallholder must hold Public Liability cover of at least AU$10 million and supply a valid Certificate of Currency.

Power | None supplied; quiet generators allowed at manager’s discretion |
Equipment | Bring your own tables, weights and shade (no pegs on sealed areas) |
Fees & payment
FY 2024/25 site fee | AU$50 (non-refundable) |

Confirmation | Booking secured once payment is received |
Credits (not refunds) are offered if:

Rotary cancels the market before 10 am on the day;

You cancel at least one month in advance;

Unforeseen hardship forces withdrawal and you notify us promptly.
Two-step application process

Stallholder Application Form – submit business and product details at any time. If your goods fit our market profile, you’ll be added to our database.

Event booking – bookings open roughly three months before each market. Approved stallholders receive an email invite; places are first-come-first-served with a view to product variety. Loyal, community-minded stallholders receive 1-week early-bird notice.
Wet-weather policy
Severe weather? We’ll decide by Saturday 2 pm and announce via Facebook, email, Messenger and SMS. Paid fees roll over to the next market if we cancel.
