Orange Sustainable Living Week starts on Sunday 29 October 2023 with the Sustainable Living Expo, which brings together exhibitors providing information and ideas on how you can be more sustainable. They include reducing waste, increasing recycling, more efficient use of water, electric vehicles, biodiversity, climate change and the environment.

There will also be a range of speakers at the Expo, including talks on electric vehicles, local energy saving programs and water and waste management in the Orange City.

If you are interested in being an exhibitor, download a SustainableLivingExpo_ExhibitorsPack_2023 or request an Exhibitor’s Pack from the Rotary Club’s Secretary by emailing contact@rotarycluboforange.org.au

During the week following the Expo, activities include a School Sustainable Cooking Competition, Wetlands guided walks, Community Revegetation planting and further activities that will be added as they are confirmed. Check out our Rotary Club of Orange NSW Facebook page for updates.

On the last Friday of each month, the Rotary Club of Orange sells BBQ lunches at the Orange Health Service (The Hospital) on Forest Road. We will be near the back entrance to the hospital, and if it is raining, we may not be there at all. Come and buy an egg and bacon roll or a sausage sandwich (with free onions if you like) and a drink between 11 am and 1.30 pm.

Keep an eye out for the program for the 2024 Banjo Paterson Australian Poetry Festival to be held in the Orange and Cabonne region from Saturday 17 February (Banjo’s birthday) to Sunday 25 February 2024, including the Poetry Performance Competitions on Friday 23 February 2024.
